The Emirate of Dubai scheduled their bidding events in Paris for world exhibition “Expo 2020”, the first of a kind in an Arab country, in 2013 and commissioned PREMIUM PROJECTS for booking outstanding names to highlight their programme.

Our task:

We booked the Cuban All-Stars of ORQUESTA BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB and the Algerian superstar CHEB KHALED for the first event at the renowned event location LE PRÉ CATELAN in Bois De Boulogne with a huge success among the attendees. Shortly after the successful event the client requested a bigger artist for their second event and we negotiated CÉLINE DION into a super-exclusive half hour unamplified appearance at PALAIS BRONGNIART, which was her first unplugged show ever. In addition to the last-minute artist booking, we supported the events with handling the hospitality and taking responsibility for the challenging technical production for the artists. Both events were outstandingly successful – and Dubai got awarded for the EXPO 2020 only shortly afterwards.


MALL OF QATAR

Project: MALL OF QATAR ENTERTAINMENT SCHEME

MALL OF QATAR is the biggest and most prestigious shopping mall project in Qatar and home to numerous international luxury brands and high-end hospitality.

Our task:

MALL OF QATAR’s operator URBACON commissioned us to develop a special attraction and unique selling point in the tough supraregional retail competition. We designed a complete theatre venue with a state-of-the-art 360-degree multi-lift rotating stage and with flight effects provided from the suppliers of CIRQUE DU SOLEIL amidst an artificial lake in the heart of the mall. In this extraordinary setting, our own theatre troupe, the first ever resident theatre troupe in a shopping mall worldwide made its debut with 10 lavishly produced shows, a mixture of circus, musical and live spectacle. A team of more than 200 international entertainment specialists developed the technical systems, composed hours of music, produced more than 3,000 costume pieces, huge stage decorations and breathtaking artistic moments. The shows quickly became the highlight for the mall visitors and delighted over half a million spectators within the first few days alone.


BERLIN FASHION WEEK

Project: CBR BRAND DAYS

CBR Fashion Group, a German holding running more than 8,200 outlets in over 20 countries with the brands “STREET ONE” and “CECIL”, simultaneously launched their e-commerce shops and a brand new shopfitting concept and were searching for a highlight for its incentive on the occasion of BERLIN FASHION WEEK 2012.

Our task:

Together with a partner, we realized a huge 360 ° video projection with more than 1,000 square meters of projection canvas and a corresponding surround sound experience as the visual highlight of the event. After the presentation, a part of the projection surface suddenly sank to the ground, unveiling a stage presenting British pop superstars DURAN DURAN, performing a surprise concert as the musical highlight of the evening. More than 2,000 guests let themselves being carried away by the unusual presentation, the PR factor of the event exceeded the client’s wildest expectations.


MOMA IN BERLIN

During the renovation of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, DEUTSCHE BANK supported the presentation of a blockbuster exhibition of the most important MoMA works at the NEUE NATIONALGALERIE in the heart of Berlin. As part of the exhibition, handpicked DB customers were invited to an exclusive exhibition visit and an accompanying reception.

Our task:

We were asked to develop and execute the entire hospitality concept. In addition to the elaborate event equipment, we provided sophisticated catering and a top-class entertainment program for the client’s VIP guests. The specialty of the job was the delicate event logistics: For each of the three event weekends we built a tailor-made, glass tent city on the roof of the NEUE NATIONALGALERIE under the highest H&S precautions, while the exhibition visitors waited up to 12 hours in huge queues just a few meters away. In addition to the guests’ excitement and a smooth process without special incidents, the client was so happy and enthusiastic that an even bigger event order was placed with us for the following year.


KEMPINSKI BANGKOK OPENING

The KEMPINSKI hotel group opened their first and super luxurious development in Thailand in the Siam neighborhood in Bangkok, adjacent to the SIAM PARAGON shopping mall, in Fall 2010.

Our task:

The Grand Opening Ceremony required a spectacular and very diversified entertainment program. Commissioned by the KEMPINSKI headquarter we flew a large group of most different entertainers to Thailand and organized a large, very colorful program with dancers, musicians, roaming acts, illusionists, acrobats, lookalikes and living statues. The result was an impressive, very festive evening with hundreds of stunned guests and a very happy client.
